Cinnamon Sugar Bourbon Crisp

We are always looking for ways to have an excuse to keep all the apple cider to ourselves (the adults)! This cocktail has all the flavors of fall that has us keeping a secret stash in the back of the fridge. The cinnamon simple syrup can be made with Calicutts Cinnamon Sugar Blend or simply use the same measurement of sugar with a cinnamon stick. Blend with the apple cider and bourbon to enjoy!

Ingredients

For the simple syrup

For the cocktail

  • ½ C Apple cider
  • 2 oz Bourbon
  • 3 Large drops orange bitters

Directions

  1. For the simple syrup, bring the Cinnamon Sugar or Citrus Spiced Sugar and water to a simmer in a saucepan, mixing to ensure the sugar dissolves. Once simmering, turn the element off and allow the mixture to cool down.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the apple cider, bourbon, bitters, and 1 Tbsp of the simple syrup. Shake well. Pour into cocktail glasses rimmed with Cinnamon Sugar.
