Vanilla Bean Sugar Cookies

Vanilla Bean Sugar Cookies

Sugar cookies are a Christmas classic at our house. I personally love mine soft and chewy with that delightful hint of vanilla. Rolling the dough in Calicutts Vanilla Bean Sugar brings this recipe to life. Our dry-aging process using nothing but bourbon vanilla beans and sugar allows the natural vanilla flavors to come through for this delightful holiday treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 C Butter, softened
  • ¾ C Sugar, granulated
  • ¼ C Calicutts Vanilla Bean Sugar
  • ¼ C Brown Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 2 ½ C All-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp Baking powder
  • ½ tsp Baking soda
  • ¼ tsp Salt

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl with a standing mixer or hand mixer, cream the butter, sugar, Calicutts Vanilla Bean Sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy, about 1-2 minutes. Add in the egg, vanilla extract. Beat until combined.
  3. Add in flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Mix until just combined, making sure to scrape down the sides of the bowl every now and again.
  4. Roll dough into 1” balls, and roll in Calicutts Cinnamon Sugar. Place on baking sheet about 2” apart. Bake for 10-11 minutes, or until cookies have set. Let rest for 2 minutes before moving to cooling rack. Allow to cool and enjoy!
